Pay It Forward Success Stories

  Brent Sweet, a residential realtor at RE/MAX 100 went so far above and beyond routine service in the recent sale of my home that it is hard to describe. I was surprised (and so ever grateful) on almost a daily basis at all the big and little details that he thought to take care of, volunteered to take care of so as not to burden me, and took care of in a timely, wise, prudent, cost-effective, and desirable manner.  He called me almost daily with updates of progress and had a fabulous online data analysis that proved to be educational. I felt as though I was his only client, but Brent was only too willing to provide help before I could even ask for it.

   There are too many examples of his client-oriented service to list, but here are a few:

 When I needed a lawn mower at my vacant for sale property, he loaned me his.  He delivered it in like-new condition with a full tank of gas and five extra gallons to get me through the summer.

 When I needed new carpeting, he got me a quote, was not satisfied with it got me another quote and then arranged to be in the house with the workmen so I would not have to take off work to do so.

  When I needed mold removal services, he brought me reading material on the subject, brought me names of service providers, met with the specialist when I could not due to my work schedule and was able to secure a reasonably priced correction to the problem.

  When my gas fireplace remote control would not work properly, he replaced the batteries.  When it still didn't;t work, he found the problem and corrected it, saving me another expensive service call.

  When I needed a contractor for my new house, he was able to recommend someone who did a fabulous job at a reasonable price.

  I could go on and on. But the bottom line is simply this: I am a divorced, busy, working mother. Brent held my hand all the way through everything--broken contracts, re-advertisements, loan meetings, etc, etc.  He did it with a smile and a willingness that is so rare in today's world.  I really can't imagine anything he would not have done for me.

 In a bad sales market, he was able to get me a top-dollar sales price of which my friends were envious.  I highly recommend Brent Sweet to anyone seeking a world-class, service-oriented full-time residential realtor whose decades-long experience will furnish you with the expertise needed to turn a potential real estate minefield into a pleasant and profitable experience.

 My wife Pam and I want to express our complete satisfaction and fulfillment with the services Brent provided us in our recent home purchase. Brent contacted Pam immediately from an online query with an offer to represent us as we searched for our first home together. After attempting to “go it alone” and purchase another house prior to contacting Remax, it resulted in a nightmare which led us to starting from scratch. I was home from Afghanistan for only a few weeks and we needed to play catch-up quickly before I left. Brent met with us the very next evening. He found it, showed it to us several times, and helped us negotiate a great deal. As with many closing stories, we were down to final issues and Brent handled each and everyone, along with some we had not anticipated, with the utmost knowledge and professionalism. What could have been very difficult for my wife with my absence, she had the best the business has to offer with Brent. He made himself available night and day, down to the final day and after. He was worth more than this letter can say. He is the “real deal”.

Individually, both Pam and I have bought other houses and can tell you that hands down Brent is the most professional, personable, and knowledgeable real estate agent I’ve dealt with.   It is very difficult to put into words the appreciation we have for your professional, diligent and continuous attention during the advertising and final sale of my townhouse at 3939 Light Arms Place in Waldorf, Maryland, especially considering I live in Missouri.  Your services had been referred to me by friends with whom you had worked on property issues. I knew at our first meeting you were a realtor true to his word and profession. It was that comfortable feeling one just gets.

 I not only asked you to sell my house; I asked you to manage the renovation of it. It was a total disaster when you first looked at it. It needed much repair and upgrading.  Because of your extensive experience in the world of realty and home ownership, you were able to accurately estimate what it would take to revive the house to "for sale" condition and expect to sell it in the most timely manner in an overcrowded and very competitive housing market that was no longer on the rise. Through contacts of your own, while I remained in Missouri, we were able to put the house in top-notch sellable condition and at the high end of the "condition" market. It looked like a million dollars.  YOU did this through your experienced contacts. You also used your own time to shop for new appliances and arrange their delivery and installation.  You marketed our house to get maximum effect and you did it so very well.

 In six weeks, you  managed to show the property and bring it to contract, and at our asking price. We hit some snags at first closing; however, you stuck with the buyer and his realtor and followed it thru to fruition this date.  I had no reservations about giving you Power of Attorney to go to the settlement table for me so that I did not have to again fly to Maryland for closing.

 There was not a step of this entire process of renovation and sale that you did not keep me informed. I never "wondered" what was happening, happening next, or could happen; you shared all of your expert knowledge and information you had with me.  My husband and I both appreciate you so much.  I only wish we lived in Maryland so we could point fingers in your direction. You deserve a front-page acknowledgement in the Maryland Independent.  What a joy to work with you, such a comfort of mind. You took all of the stress out of selling a house.
